In 2018-2019, an investor from the optics industry invested in Strzelin, building two production halls in our city. In June 2020, an investor from the furniture industry started operating in the newly built plant in Strzelin, supplying the Strzelin market with new jobs. It is expected that another investor will start the construction of a furniture factory in the near future. Over the past few years, four foreign companies operating in Strzelin have significantly expanded their plants and created a large number of new jobs. Two of them almost doubled the number of jobs or the area of ​​the production plant, which makes them among the largest employers in the Strzelin Commune. Such development of business activity by investors proves the fact that we create more and more comfortable conditions for running a business, which is appreciated by entrepreneurs.

The commune is situated on the border of the picturesque Strzelin Hills and the Wrocław Plain, which are part of the Sudeten Foreland. Ca. 40 km from the border of the Czech Republic.The commune of Strzelin belongs to the Lower Silesian Voivodship and the  District of Strzelin. Ca. 37 km from Wrocław. Strzelin is situated by the Oława River, 14 km from the A4 motorway. The commune is intersected by the national road, provincial (voivodeship) roads and a network of district and commune roads. Railway line of international importance (Wrocław-Prague). The nearest airport is about 40 km from Strzelin (Wrocław).

A network of local municipal roads and district roads, provincial roads 395 (towards Wrocław) and 396 (towards Oława) and national road 39 (Łagiewniki - Strzelin - Wiązów) connecting Strzelin with the national road 8 (Wrocław - Kudowa Zdrój - Prague) ). The A4 motorway with communication junctions runs near the commune borders (approx. 14 km to the nearest A4 motorway exit). The railway line 273 from Wrocław Główny-Międzylesie, leading to Prague, runs through Strzelin. Therefore, it is the Wrocław-Prague railway main of international importance. The nearest airport is about 40 km from Strzelin (in Wrocław). The nearest voivodeship city - Wrocław, is situated 37 km from Strzelin. The dynamics of investments and housing construction can be compared to the average dynamics in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.

 

Tourist Attractions - Strzelin and Lower Silesia

 

Strzelin commune: Strzelin Hills and the tourist routes running through them have the greatest tourist and recreational potential. The southern part of the commune consists of wooded hills with many water reservoirs. Great places for hiking, biking and horseback riding. The Strzelin Hills are full of tourist, natural and landscape attractions. For enthusiasts of cycling, singletrack with a total length of several kilometers is available. The inhabitants of Wrocław and Lower Silesia eagerly use them.

 

Cultural Monuments: Church of St. Gotthard from the 12th century, the Chapel of St. George from the 14th century, the Sanctuary in Nowolesie, the rebuilt town hall tower in Strzelin - the historic investment related to the reconstruction of the Town Hall building in Strzelin is underway. It is also worth visiting places such as: Rock Park, near the modernized railway station building in Strzelin, or Gromnik - 393 m above sea level, which is the highest among the Strzelin Hills. In Henryków, not far from Strzelin, there is the historic Cistercian Abbey.

Agritourism is developing dynamically, and the ponds in Biały Kościół are a good place for fishermen and nature enthusiasts. Currently, one of the biggest attractions is the modernized Recreation Center in Biały Kościół. The resort has an extensive, sandy beach. For children, there is a modern playground and a swimming pool with slides. In the holiday complex there is a beach volleyball court, as well as a water equipment rental. The recreation building has a large viewing terrace, a bar and a cafe. The resort also has a large parking lot, a dedicated barbecue area and a bicycle rental. In the summer season, many interesting sports and cultural events take place here, including an open-air summer cinema. There are 22 high standard holiday homes in the area of ​​the Center.

The richness of nature:

Undoubtedly, Giant Mountains (Karkonosze) are a unique tourist attraction of the region on a European and even global scale. It is the highest mountain range in the Sudetes and at the same time in the Czech Republic and belongs to the UNESCO World Network. Lower Silesia has been known for its mineral waters since the Middle Ages. There are a dozen or so health resorts with various therapeutic offers and an unique microclimate.

Spa values ​​of the region

The voivodeship has a complex of health resorts and hospitals where both the elderly and children find professional care. The offer of health resorts includes facilities located in the most beautiful parts of the region. The mild and refreshing climate is favorable for healing, and the health properties of the mineral springs here have been known for several hundred years. Beautifully situated towns, in addition to spa values, also have an interesting cultural and tourist offer. The healing values ​​of the local waters made the towns of the region become fashionable spa resorts.

 

Castles and palaces

Lower Silesia is also a land of castles and palaces. No other region in Poland has such a number of these buildings. Every fourth castle and palace is located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. The most famous are: Grodno Castle from the 12th century, 13th century Bolków Castles,  Chojnik Castle and Czocha Castle, Książ Castle from the 13th century, which was given its present shape in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Rich cultural offer

The cultural offer of Lower Silesia is equally rich. Wrocław is, for example, the cradle of the work of world-class artists. It is also a place of numerous festivals, the most famous of which is the Wratislavia Cantans International Oratorio and Cantata Festival with over 40 years of tradition. The cultural background of Lower Silesia is 60 theaters, 3 philharmonics, an opera house, over 100 museums, numerous galleries art and cinemas.
