The commune is situated on the border of the picturesque Strzelin Hills and the Wrocław Plain, which are part of the Sudeten Foreland. Ca. 40 km from the border of the Czech Republic.
The commune belongs to the Lower Silesian Voivodship and the County of Strzelin. Ca. 37 km from Wrocław. Strzelin is situated by the Oława River, 14 km from the A4 motorway. The commune is located by the national road, voivodeship roads and a network of district and commune roads. Railway line of international importance (Wrocław-Prague). The nearest airport is about 40 km from Strzelin (Wrocław).
A network of local municipal roads and district roads, provincial roads: 395 (towards Wrocław) and 396 (towards Oława) and national road 39 (Łagiewniki - Strzelin - Wiązów) connecting Strzelin with the national road 8 (Wrocław - Kudowa Zdrój - Prague) ). The A4 motorway with communication junctions runs near the commune borders (approx. 14 km to the nearest A4 motorway exit). Railway Line 273 from Wrocław Główny-Międzylesie runs through Strzelin, leading to Prague, Czech Republic. Therefore, it is the Wrocław-Prague railway main of international importance. The nearest airport is about 40 km from Strzelin (in Wrocław). The closest voivodeship city - Wrocław, is situated 37 km from Strzelin. The dynamics of investments and housing construction can be compared to the average dynamics in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship.
The main power supply point is located in the north-western part of Strzelin. The water and sewage network systems in the Strzelin Commune are constantly modernized and expanded. Near the Strzelin Subzone of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone "Invest-Park" there is a gas reduction station from which medium pressure gas is evacuated. The gas reserves are large enough to supply not only the Strzelin Subzone of the WSEZ "Invest-Park" but also the entire commune. There is also a Selective Waste Collection Point in Strzelin.
It is worth emphasizing that since 2018, Public Transport has been operating in the Strzelin Commune - city and suburban buses.
Economic structure
The commune has agricultural and industrial character. It is mainly famous for the granite mined in one of the largest quarries in Europe. It is also a natural and tourist attraction. For this reason, Strzelin is often called the "City of Granite". The commune favors entrepreneurs and investors. The commune has great economic potential due to its good location, active entrepreneurs and residents, high level of vocational education and well-developed road, water and sanitary infrastructure. The agricultural sector is very well developed.

Investors in the Commune
Over a dozen companies with foreign capital have operated in the Strzelin Commune for years. In addition, larger production plants constantly provide workplaces with a large number of employees (approx. 1,700). Apart from creating new jobs, the stability of companies in maintaining them is a very important factor from the point of view of the region's economic attractiveness. Companies are prospering better and better. More production plants are also established. In 2018-2019, an investor from the optics industry invested in Strzelin, building two production halls in our city. In June 2020, an investor from the furniture industry started operating in the newly built plant in Strzelin, supplying the Strzelin market with new jobs. It is expected that another investor will start the construction of a furniture factory in the near future. Over the past few years, four foreign companies (with foreign capital) operating in Strzelin have significantly expanded their plants and created a large number of new jobs. Two of them almost doubled the number of jobs or the area of the production plant, which makes them among the largest employers in the Strzelin Commune. Important Information:
In 2018, the Municipal Investor and Exporter Assistance Center, certified by the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship and the Lower Silesian Agency for Economic Cooperation, was established in the Strzelin Commune.
The commune of Strzelin is also taking part in the project entitled "Implementing investor service standards in the local government of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship" - this two-year project will end in 2021.

Investments in industrial infrastructure
Strzelin favors entrepreneurs and investors. In 2018, the investment related to the development of utilities in the Strzelin Subzone of the WSEZ "Invest-Park" was completed. A sanitary and rain sewage system as well as a water supply system have been built. New road lighting was built, the road was rebuilt to a bituminous surface and a pedestrian and bicycle route was created. Thanks to this, we have created even more comfortable conditions for investors to start and develop business activities. In addition to the production plants already operating in this region, new ones are being built. In June 2020, an investor from the furniture industry started operating in the newly built plant in Strzelin, supplying the Strzelin market with new jobs. It is expected that another investor will start the construction of a furniture factory in the near future. In the area of Energetyków Street, where there are also many significant industrial plants, investments are also carried out to improve the conditions for running a business. A water supply network and a rainwater drainage network were built in this area. At the end of 2020, the commune completed the investment consisting in the reconstruction of Energetyków Street for bituminous surface. We always try to support entrepreneurs and investors, creating the best possible conditions for business development for them.

Branches of various banks have their headquarters in the city of Strzelin. There are numerous law firms, accounting offices and notary offices.The „Gromnik” - Local Action Group - Association operates in the Strzelin Commune, which provides advice for entrepreneurs and people planning to start a business. The association runs among local entrepreneurs, including training on the forms and principles of support, as well as the conditions for applying for funds for undertaking and developing business activities. There is also the Strzelin Association for Supporting Development.
Since 2005, the Strzelin Subzone of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone "Invest-Park" has been operating in the Strzelin Commune.
In 2019, the business incubator was also created (in the modernized 19th-century building of the railway station) in Strzelin.

As of December 2020, there were 1622 unemployed people in the Strzelin district, and the unemployment rate was 11%.

The situation of the unemployed in the first half of 2020 was conditioned by the state of the epidemic in Poland. This resulted in an increase in the number of the unemployed in each age category and in individual groups of the unemployed. As at June 30, 2020, there were 1,657 unemployed in the registers of the District Labor Office in Strzelin and compared to the same period of the previous year (1,408 people) there was an increase by 249 people (17.7%).

The commune is located in close proximity to a large university center - Wrocław. We also do not forget about vocational education (centers for vocational education in Strzelin and in Ludów Polski). It is possible to create patronage classes aimed at educating graduates in accordance with the needs of specific local investors. The registered unemployed have extensive experience in manufacturing, construction, trade and services. The Labor Office in Strzelin also helps local and potential investors.
There in Strzelin Commune is a branch of the University of Humanities and Economics in Strzelin with its seat in Brzeg.

The greatest tourist and recreational potential of the Strzelin Hills and the tourist routes running through them. The southern part of the commune consists of wooded hills with many water reservoirs. Great places for hiking, biking and horseback riding. This area is full of tourist, natural and landscape attractions. For enthusiasts of cycling, singletrack with a total length of several kilometers is available. The inhabitants of Wrocław and Lower Silesia eagerly use them.
Cultural Monuments: Church of St. Gotthard from the 12th century, the Chapel of St. George from the 14th century, the Sanctuary in Nowolesie, the rebuilt town hall tower in Strzelin - a historic investment is underway related to the reconstruction of the Town Hall building in Strzelin. It is also worth visiting places such as: Rock Park, near the modernized railway station building in Strzelin, or Gromnik Hill - 393 m above sea level, which is the highest among the Strzelin Hills. In Henryków, not far from Strzelin, there is the historic Cistercian Abbey.
Agritourism is developing dynamically, and the ponds in Biały Kosciół are a very good place for fishermen and nature enthusiasts. Currently, one of the biggest attractions is the modernized Recreation Center in Biały Kościół. The resort has an extensive, sandy beach. For children, there is a modern playground and a swimming pool with slides. In the holiday complex there is a beach volleyball court, as well as a water equipment rental. The recreational building has a large viewing terrace, a bar and a cafe. The resort also has a large parking lot, a dedicated barbecue area and a bicycle rental. In the summer season, many interesting sports and cultural events take place here, including an open-air summer cinema. There are 22 high standard holiday homes in the area of the Center.
